Free scheduling templates

Ready-to-use spreadsheets for restaurants and hourly teams — schedules, labor cost, and availability. Download free, no signup. Or skip the spreadsheet and import them into a live schedule.

Free weekly work schedule template

A free, ready-to-use weekly work schedule template (Excel/Google Sheets): a 7-day grid where you list each employee, their role, and their shift times for Monday through Sunday, with a column to total scheduled hours.

Free restaurant labor cost tracker (with formulas)

A free restaurant labor cost spreadsheet with live formulas: enter each employee’s hourly wage and hours worked and it auto-calculates total labor cost, plus your labor cost as a percentage of weekly sales.

Free employee availability form template

A free employee availability form: a per-employee sheet where staff mark which days they can work, their earliest start and latest end time each day, and any time-off requests or hard constraints.

Free monthly availability form template

A free monthly availability form: each employee records their usual weekly availability once, then marks this month’s exceptions — specific dates they can’t work, one-off time windows, appointments — on a calendar grid.

Free team availability tracker (whole roster on one sheet)

A free team availability tracker: one row per employee, one column per day, each cell holding that person’s available window (or OFF) — with a live formula row that counts how many people are available each day, so you can see thin days before you schedule into them.

Free employee timesheet template (auto-calculating)

A free two-week employee timesheet: enter clock-in, break-out, break-in, and clock-out times as h:mm AM/PM and the sheet calculates daily hours, total hours, and a regular-vs-overtime split automatically.

Free time-off request form template

A free time-off request form: the employee fills in leave type and dates, the manager records the decision and coverage plan, and a built-in request log keeps every request in one place instead of scattered across texts.

Free shift swap form template (with approval checklist)

A free shift swap form: the employee giving up a shift and the one covering it both sign, the manager runs a three-point check (overtime, qualifications, conflicts) before approving, and a swap log records every completed trade.

Free monthly work schedule template (Excel)

A month-at-a-glance staff schedule: one row per employee, one column per day, a two-letter shift code in each cell. A Shift Codes sheet defines what each code means and how many hours it is, so the Shifts and Hours columns and the staff-per-day row fill themselves in.

Free restaurant training schedule template (server & line cook)

Two ready-made five-shift training plans — one for a new server, one for a new line cook — each shift with a focus, a skills checklist, and trainer and trainee sign-off. A progress cell shows how many shifts are signed off and whether the trainee is ready to be scheduled alone.

Free employee write-up form (corrective action template)

A one-page write-up form: who and when, the type of action, a factual incident description, the policy not met, the employee's comments, an improvement plan with a date, consequences, a log of previous warnings, and signatures for employee, manager, and an optional witness.
